01 Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using fintoolhub.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you don’t agree with any part of these Terms, please don’t use the Site.
02 Description of service
FinToolHub provides free, browser-based financial calculators covering retirement, taxes, 401(k)s, capital gains, and related personal finance topics. Calculations run locally in your browser — see our Privacy Policy for details on how information is, and isn’t, processed. We may add, change, or remove calculators and other content at any time.
03 Not financial, legal, or tax advice
Nothing on FinToolHub constitutes financial, legal, tax, or other professional advice. Our calculators produce estimates based on the inputs you provide and the general rules we’ve built them around — they are not a substitute for personalized advice from a qualified financial advisor, accountant, attorney, or your employer’s HR or benefits office.
Retirement, tax, and legal rules change, vary by jurisdiction, and depend on details specific to your situation that a general calculator cannot capture. Always confirm any figure that will inform a real financial decision with an official source (such as OPM, the IRS, or your HR department) or a licensed professional before acting on it.
04 No warranty on accuracy
We build and test our calculators carefully — see our About page for our methodology — but we make no warranty, express or implied, that any calculator’s output is complete, accurate, current, or error-free. Formulas, tax brackets, contribution limits, and similar figures change over time, sometimes without immediate notice to us.
The Site and all calculators are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
05 Eligibility and acceptable use
You may use FinToolHub for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Scrape, copy, or republish our calculators, formulas, or content without permission
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its infrastructure
- Use bots, scrapers, or other automated systems to access the Site at a volume or pace a human visitor couldn’t reasonably generate
- Misrepresent a calculator’s output as an official determination from a government agency, employer, or licensed professional
06 Intellectual property
The Site’s design, calculators, text, and branding — including the FinToolHub name and logo — are owned by FinToolHub or its licensors and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may link to our pages and quote brief excerpts with attribution, but you may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from our calculators or content without our written permission.
07 Third-party links and advertising
FinToolHub displays advertising through Google AdSense and may link to third-party websites or resources, including government agencies. We don’t control and aren’t responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites, including advertisers. Visiting a linked or advertised site is at your own risk and subject to that site’s own terms and privacy policy.
08 Limitation of liability
09 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold FinToolHub harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.
10 Changes to the service
We may add, remove, or modify calculators, content, or features at any time, without notice, and without liability for doing so.
11 Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when we do. Continuing to use the Site after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
12 Termination
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the Site, without notice, if we believe you’ve violated these Terms or used the Site in a way that could harm FinToolHub or other visitors.
13 Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [insert your state/country of operation], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
14 Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FinToolHub regarding use of the Site.
